ANDREA SIMON
“I’ve always had two great interests —
photography and writing. While they may appear to be distinct modes of
expression, I approach them both through a visual interpretation of
fundamental human qualities. In both, I have a great appreciation of
detail and universality. And in both, I try to capture the elusive — and
often mystical —quality of a person or place, a quality that welcomes

Andrea Simon is a New York-based
photographer and writer. As a photographer, Andrea has exhibited in
one-person and juried group shows and has produced photos for diverse
publications. A “dinosaur,” Andrea has her own darkroom and develops
black-and-white film and prints. She is an expert printer, using
archival processing and print-mounting techniques. Recently returning to
the world of color, Andrea has come into this century with a new and
exciting dimension to her creative portfolio.
