IAN O'SULLIVAN
Ian O'Sullivan was born in San Francisco
in 1973 and lived in various cities in California and Europe before
settling in New York in 1999.
At 18, traveling alone through Spain
with a borrowed camera, O'Sullivan landed a job at the 1992 Barcelona
Olympics where he was able to document many historical moments,
including the gold medal interview with Dream Team celebrities Michael
Jordan and Magic Johnson.
Continuing to document his traveling
experiences he returned to Spain in 1996 as an Ambassadorial Scholar for
Rotary International. Studying Fine Arts at the University of Granada,
O'Sullivan conducted a year long photo documentary on his experiences
among the people of Andalusia.
By 2003 these efforts resulted in a
several gallery exhibitions which have since prompted O'Sullivan to
deepen his artistic vision by focusing on computer manipulated abstract
imagery and the production of interactive exhibits and published works.
