WOUTER DERUYTTER
Wouter Deruytter, award-winning photographer, is
best known for his images of people in masks and costumes. He has
had three books published to date: Brussel...?(1990),
McDermot & McGough: Anachronism Abroad (1994), Wouter
Deruytter: Knights of the Impossible (1997), Wouter Deruytter:
Cowboy Code (2000) and there are two books in the pipeline. He
has exhibited his work in numerous top-ranking galleries throughout
the world including such prestigious venues as The Marlborough
Gallery, Robert Miller Gallery, and the Foundation Cartier.
Born in Belgium, Wouter attended the Royal Academy of Fine Art in
Ghent and went on to study with Nan Goldin, Duane Michals, and Bruce
Weber as an international scholarship student at New York’s
International Center of Photography. His work is available through
Langtons International Agency for books, calendars, greeting cards,
posters and as fine art photography.
